It makes my child much more visible and adds a layer of safety when walking on the road. The overall craftsmanship is also excellent, and the size is just perfect for a middle school-aged child. However, it would be ideal if it had reflective strips for nighttime visibility. There are also some thoughtful design features that could be even better. The top handle As you can see in the first photo, the backpack has a top grab handle that is split into two flaps. Ideally, these two flaps are meant to be buttoned together. However, kids don’t have the patience to fasten buttons. If this were a Velcro closure instead of buttons, it would be much easier. The shoulder straps cause the bag to sag and lose its shape Looking at the side view in the second photo, the vertical shoulder straps only connect to a single horizontal strap on the back panel. There is no continuous vertical strap running all the way down the back of the bag to anchor them. When the bag is worn, the weight pulls down on the point where the vertical and horizontal straps intersect. This causes the backpack to sag and lose its shape around the shoulders. My child still really likes this backpack!
