Rated 4 out of 5 by from TERRIBLE Hood - Otherwise Great Coat This coat exceeded my expectations in almost all aspects (great pockets, very warm, good length) EXCEPT FOR THE HOOD! The hood is ridiculously too small, it won't even cover my Roots kanga hoodie hood (so my hoodie is half sticking out and gets wet since it's not protected by the coat hood)! It's as if the Roots design and quality control teams didn't actually try on the product first before mass producing it, very disappointing!! I got the coat in the cypress green colour, and it's a nice hue. For reference I am a 5 ft 7" female, 145 lbs average build, and got this coat in the XS (with not too much extra room, just enough for a long sleeve and sweater underneath). Length comes halfway down my thigh. It does have a boxy fit, so I used the inside toggles to tighten the waist to give a little bit of shape. If the hood design on this coat actually made sense and was big enough to cover a sweater hood, then I would have given this coat 5 stars (especially as I got it less than $100 because of the pre Black Friday member sale). If you are on the fence, get it just always wear the coat with a hat as THE HOOD IS PRACTICALLY USELESS!
