They are a great length this year - last year they were a little too short so i'll be stocking up this year in the next size up. As usual, I find the Roots kids items to fit a bit big and the jump from toddler to kids sizing is quite substantial. My tall, thin 5-almost-6 year old is consistently a small in the bottoms and they fit her well.
