The leather feels poor quality, the strap could easily be broken and snatched off you, and my overall impression was that any reasonably creative person could have assembled this bag with a few scraps of leather. Stitching details left something to be desired, and the zipper does not feel like it will last. This would be my third leather purse from roots in approx 15 years so I guess it's my own fault for assuming the quality stayed the same. Thankfully I had a gift card when making this purchase, otherwise I would absolutely return. I wanted to love it as a new bag for traveling in the UK but there's just so much to be desired.

It’s nice for day shopping or for date night! Perfect bag! Only wish it was lined and had more interior pockets from lining.

First and foremost, Roots is known for good quality, and long lasting wear; and, I always try to support Canadian when I can. Its a classic style, made of a lovely, soft leather that will age beautifully over time. And the colour is just that prefect tan. Not too warm, and not too dark. It fits all of my minimalist needs, and I couldn't be happier.
