I previously had a really thick heavyweight American Giant hoodie that was my favourite for a long time but wore out. I could never find the style again and they started making their women's hoodies too thin, like many companies do for women's clothes. I am 5'6, athletic 145lbs and bought a size 3 and I am OBSESSED. The hoodie is a super soft, thick, nice relaxed boxy fit with sleeves JUST the right length, no kangaroo pocket, no drawstrings on the (very roomy, thick, well constructed) hood that feels like a happy safe scarf. The waist hits at just the right spot of the hips - covers just the top of the bum but because the bottom waistband hangs loose, it doesn't ride up like similar styles I've tried. I'd buy it in every colour if I could afford it. I bought my 16 year old son one as well and it's his favourite now too, which gave me an excuse to buy another so we wouldn't match (which is the worst thing imaginable for a 16 year old, obviously). I would live in this thing 24/7.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Would not order anything onlineagain on final sale It was a final sale, and I was disappointed that there were a lot of piles on it and loose threads. I took it into the store and asked for an exchange, but was told final sale means final sale no matter what shape it’s in. I have to accept it. I will never shop at roots again.
