Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love it, but broken belt loop I bought it today on sale in Victoria, BC. I love it, and it fits me perfectly. However, while I was in the store, I noticed that one of the belt loops was broken. The sales lady confidently told me that it wasn’t meant for a belt, that this was just how it came from the warehouse, and that I could cut it off. That didn’t make any sense to me, but I figured I wouldn’t be using the belt anyway, so I let it go. Now, after seeing pictures of the coat, I realize that it was supposed to have both belt loops so it could be worn properly. It would be nice if the store employees actually knew more about what they were selling

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful Drape and Comfort I love this coat. I like that it’s not lined; it breathes better. I love the drape and weight of it. I’m 5’7’, Dutch/Scottish, with larger shoulders and bust. Got the XL and it fits beautifully and is so comfortable.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Low quality, poorly constructed It’s pretty shameful that Roots would sell this item. It arrived with both belt loops missing. I knew they were supposed to be there from photos of the item and seeing it in-store. The stitching around both sleeves was also incomplete. Overall very shoddily constructed item. I noticed the in-store item had a broken belt loop as well but I had thought that was a one-off. I can see from the other reviews that it was not. Low wool content - not a coat suitable for cold Canadian weather. Incredibly oversized.
