Yes, you read that right. Two hundred and fifty Canadian dollars. For a sweatshirt. I'm pretty sure I heard my bank account weep as the transaction went through. Let me tell you, this isn't just a sweatshirt; it's an investment. I had to take out a small personal loan, co-signed by my cat (who, by the way, judges my life choices constantly), just to afford it. My financial advisor nearly fainted when I told him I was diversifying my portfolio with fleece. But hey, you get what you pay for, right? This crewneck is so soft, I suspect it's woven from the tears of angels and the finest, ethically sourced clouds. It's so warm, I've started turning down my thermostat to truly appreciate its thermal properties – think of the energy savings! The Roots beaver logo, usually a cute emblem, now glints with an almost menacing aura of luxury, silently reminding me of the debt I've incurred. I'm now contemplating having it dry-cleaned only, maybe even encased in a display box when not in use. This isn't a garment; it's an heirloom. My future grandchildren will probably fight over who gets to inherit "Grandpa's Loaner Roots Crewneck."
