You can be 100% satisfied that you are buying authentic Roots products when you shop at www.roots.com – our only official online storefront in Canada, the United States and Worldwide (with the exception of China and Taiwan). You can also shop at a store near you by using our Store Locator.
Please do not purchase Roots products from unauthorized retail channels such as discount websites and third-party marketplaces. Aside from the risk of receiving inferior products (or no products at all), personal information and credit card details may be vulnerable to theft or fraud.

Yes – there are clues that can help you identify fake websites. However, sometimes a fake website looks incredibly real because our images are stolen by “copycat” scammers impersonating us. These scammers will steal your payment information and either send you: no products, counterfeit goods, unrelated cheap product or stolen genuine goods.
The URL is questionable. We do not have any online discount outlets or shops. Any URL with “roots”, “discount”, “sale”, “outlet” “official”, “clearance”, “shop”, “top” or anything else is fake.
The price looks too good to be true.
The contact email is not a roots.com corporate address (e.g. is a hotmail.com, gmail.com, or yahoo.com email).
The policies such as shipping, refund etc, are poorly written or don’t make sense.
The URL is not secured with a security certificate. Look for a ‘lock’ icon at the top of your browser and a URL that starts with https. By clicking on the lock you are also able to determine the security certificate owner.
