Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fabulous style, deep pockets, fully lined. I recently purchased the Seymour coat on sale and was reticent to buy it due to some of the comments. I even contacted customer service to ask if it was lined because not being lined might have been a deal breaker for me. But the price was so good that I went ahead and ordered it before I heard back that it was not lined. I received it today and am thrilled with the coat. It is fully lined and the perfect size. The oversized look is just the style, not a misfit, and I have other coats in a similar style and get loads of compliments. The coat is 55% wool so will be warm next winter and it has deep pockets for dog treats and bags when I walk my pooch. It is also light weight which I appreciate as I am 76 years old and find heavy winter clothing burdensome. The coat is good looking and the collar buttons up to my nose. With a good hat and a scarf I will be toasty. The design is perfect. I just had to write a review to counteract some of the not so good reviews. That is how pleased I am with this product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from DONT WASTE TOUR MONEY !! Roots should be ashamed of selling this coat to anyone for money !!! I wore it a few times and the pilling is horrendous. It looks cheap and old. I’ve been wearing Roots for forty years when everything was made in Canada. This is embarrassing.

I have been looking for what we older folks refers to as a “car coat,” for quite a while and when I saw this coat on your website, I was ecstatic! It is perfect. The weight is substantial enough to protect these 84 year old bones from the ravages of the cold and winds that we Canadians endure in late fall and early winter due to the excellent quality of the fabric. I purchased it large enough to accommodate the wool sweaters and polar fleece tops that I wear once the temperatures begin to fall. My husband, who frequently chastises me for wearing black too often, complimented me on the beautiful navy colour. Thrilled with my new coat!
