I purchased this bag in November 2025 as a Christmas gift and only started using it in February 2026. It was not used daily, and the bag itself is still in excellent condition overall. However, within just a few months of normal use, the seam near the strap completely tore apart. Looking at the damage, it is clearly a stitching/seam failure rather than normal wear and tear. The rest of the bag still looks almost new, which makes this even more frustrating. What disappointed me even more was Roots’ response. After contacting customer service with photos and offering to send the bag back for inspection, I was told this was considered “normal wear and tear” because too much time had passed since purchase. Less than half a year of light use should not result in this type of failure from a premium brand. I expected much better durability, quality control, and customer service from Roots. Unfortunately, this experience has seriously changed my perception of the brand.
