Rated 1 out of 5 by from Skip these ones… Never thought I’d write a review for a Roots product that wasn’t stellar, but these mittens are just odd. They’re very stretchy and large and just don’t stay on, plus they aren’t warm or even wind resistant. I would not recommend these at all, sadly.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Pills/Snags Immediately I bought the cozy knit mittens on 2/14 at the Banff location, looking for a soft & warm mitten. The color and softness were amazing, but the mittens began pilling almost immediately. These mittens were only worn inside the car to drive (i.e. contact made with steering wheel) and show a large amount of pilling already. Additionally, the area between the hand and thumb pulls quite easily. The mittens are also extremely long, which doesn't bother me, but are another thing to consider. While soft, I'm disappointed in the quality of this Roots products, as all of my other ones are great :/

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Soft but not durable I bought the Roots cozy mittens yesterday and have mixed feelings. They’re by far the softest mittens I have, and have kept my hands warm on a long drive, but I am disappointed in how quickly they’ve begun to pill with no outdoor use :/ If you’re looking for a pair that will hold up, this may not be for you. The mittens are also extra long, so be aware of that when purchasing.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Wish I didn’t get these. Ok so 1) They are waaaaay too big for me. I’m an average size woman and they are huge on my hands. 2) the quality is not good. I would think for $40 mitts from ROOTS, they would last a long time. They are already fraying! I’ve had them for less than a month and only wear them in the car when it’s cold outside.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Soft but not durable So soft and cozy! Unfortunately a string from the knitting caught my first time wearing them and they frayed so easily without much tension at all. I wanted them to last much longer than they did.
