Rated 5 out of 5 by BrandonE from Beautiful, Comfortable Boots This is my first pair Tuff Boots from Roots, so consider this a first impressions review, but so far I am very happy. I have other styles of boots from Roots and I wanted to get some of the other colours that were available in the Tuff boots, and started with the green. First of all, in indoor lighting the green is much darker than it appears in the photo. I actually prefer this, it keeps the colour subtle, but it will still pop under bright or natural lighting. The natural leather of the saddle stitch and the white stitching gives a good contrast. Right out of the box, the boot is very comfortable. The leather is relatively so and slightly distressed, so it moves easily with you foot. Probably the only thing I will need to get used to as I wear them is is where it rubs on my ankles. The socks I wear daily are a medium thickness, and I find the contoured "city" insole to be very comfortable. It is nice that they come with a second set of insoles, and also spare laces. I'm anticipating these boots lasting a good long time. I also like the nice thick soles, which should not wear out anytime soon, and the iconic maple leaf pattern on the treads. If all goes well with these I look forward to ordering more colours soon. The fit is very good, I usually wear a 9 and these fit just as I would expect.

Rated 4 out of 5 by ETphonehome from So comfy but go a size up I usually wear an 11 but went for a 12 and fit way better. if you happen to prefer thinner socks don’t fret. comes with extra insoles! just wish they were still Canadian made :(
