Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent I bought the Clutch Tribe together with the Banff Tote Tribe and couldn't have been more satisfied. Was a bit worried because of a few reviews stating lack of Roots' normal quality, but my Clutch is in pristine condition. The leather is soft and lovely, the stitches perfect, the slots for cards had the correct size and the clutch is also roomy enough to hold my mobile phone without stretching the zip, which I found an added bonus. I have now three items from Roots and I love them all.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Buyer beware! I have purchased two of these wallets over the past month. One for me and one as a gift. Both wallets were defective (both in a similar location). The edge of one wallet has a chunk that appears ripped off and sticking out. The other looks like they didn't properly finish putting the plastic thing that goes over the edge of the leather. In addition to these defects, I am sorely disappointed at the quality. I have owned MANY roots leather wallets and bags over the years and have loved all of them. I don't know if they stopped making these wallets in Canada or have outsourced them for cheaper production or what, but it is not the same quality I have come to expect and love from Roots. Even the side of the wallet (between the inner lining and outside leather) feels like it has cardboard between it. On a side note, I also purchased a leather bag at the same time and the quality of that is excellent. It is just the quality of the wallets that appear to be lacking (not to mention defective)!

This one has extra room around the zipper and I believe the leather would stretch to accommodate a packed wallet. I wish this wallet had a strip for the cards you most commonly use that was exposed easily when you first open the wallet.
