Much bigger than expected . Nice it has the cross body strap but the fixed strapped isn’t very useful. It’s also grey and not black . Very disappointed

First Impressions
It’s a good roomy bag and I like the style. I’m glad there is some organization inside. The colour was not as warm as the Ella bags shown on the website. It is a nice brown and being a leather carver, I understand there is often variation in hides and dye batches. That’s the beauty of leather! Another curious observation, the bag didn’t have that awesome ‘new leather’ smell that I’ve had with my other Roots leather products. I’m hoping it wears as well as my other Roots purse but it is from 10+ years ago and my first impression is that the leather is not the same quality.

Love it!!!
I love by Ella bag. It's large enough to carry what I need without being too big. The straps stay on my shoulder without falling off (this is a huge pet peeve of mine). The leather is not stiff at all. I would buy it again in another colour. Just wish they had more colour options. Seems that Roots has standard leather colours and I would love more options.

Natural is more like Fawn
Perfect bag for what is needed; however, I'd thought I was ordering online the colour 'natural' as per picture on the website, a very different colour once I received it. I went to the store to double check on the colour, I did purchase 'natural', but the colour was not anything like what was on website. The colour is more like 'fawn'. So I was disappointed in that, but ended up keeping the bag.

Not the right colour
I bought the bag from the website. The bag was not at all the color that appeared on the website. it is very disappointing because it was perfect in terms of the format and the quality of the leather. I sent it back and had no real problem.

You know when you need just the "right" bag? It's like the Three Bears. You want one not too big, not too small. You want it to have structure, but also feel comfy. So I’ve had my Ella bag for a year and a half now and I love it. It’s the best bag until the strap broke and I was so upset because I love this bag and it’s my everyday bag and I am so careful with it. It seemed like I wasn’t going to resolve this issue until I went to the shops at don mills location and met the manager there. She was awesome. She completely was understanding and was compassionate of the situation and offered me a great resolution. She offered me to pick a new bag at a sale priced and send my broken bag for repair. I appreciate it so much. There are some people still out there who are compassionate and understanding. Visit the don mills store. Best experience.

Best purse I’ve ever had!
It’s very spacious, lots of room for everything you need! The leather is very soft and seems pretty durable. I love the two ways you can wear it, over the shoulder or cross body.
