Worth it
This is my second Canadian Villager Tribe bag (black and natural) because it is such high quality. It carries alot but isn’t super heavy. Lasts forever. Worth the price especially if you compare it to other high end brands.

Best Crossbody Bag
I love this bag. Beautifully made. Holds everything I need from water bottle, tablet, small umbrella plus wallet and phone. Comfortable shoulder strap even with all my necessities.

Not as big as expected
I needed a good cross body bag to replace an old tote. I was definitely expecting bigger. So glad I didn’t go cheaper and get the smaller villager bag. I was debating rating it less than 4 stars because it was much smaller. I’ll keep it and not return although disappointed.

Perfect day to day purse
I love the size of this purse… room for everything! Nice size zip pocket inside as well as outside. The two pockets on the outside fit the larger phones nicely and allow security for the items u need on a regular basis. The strap is wide enough that the weight of my purse sits comfortably on my shoulder

Best Roots bag!
I have owned many Roots bags over the years & this one is by far the most versatile, best organized, and beautifully crafted bag I have ever owned. The size and shape are perfect, and the deep blue seasonal colour is gorgeous in pebbled leather. Just waiting to see what the colour options are this spring prior to deciding which one I will purchase next...

Fits everything with room to spare!
Ahhh, nothing beats the smell of a brand new Roots bag!!! This bag is larger than I was expecting, but I am very happy with it. I have the Villager Bag already, which is the smaller version without the large outer pocket, and was starting to find it a bit tight for all the things I carry (sunglasses, reading glasses, hand sanitizer, etc.). The Canadian Villager has lots of room to spare, and it sits perfectly against the hip because it is not over-stuffed. For reference, I am 5'10" and of medium build, and there is lots of strap to adjust the length. With a previous Roots bag purchase, I found the strap, although adjustable, too short for my liking.
Some of my other Roots bags are coloured leather (Purple and Chocolate Brown), and although they have held up wonderfully and true to Roots quality, the leather colour does fade over time. Therefore, I decided to go with the Natural colour this time around, hoping the leather will age better, rather than just fading.
Roots quality is unbeatable, and each piece is truly an investment that can be enjoyed for many years. I am picky with things like loose threads and stitching, and this bag is finished perfectly. The attention to detail and quality is evident. I am also happy to support a Canadian company that still has actual people crafting these wonderful bags one by one. Love it!

Pricey but great quality!
The price originally held me back but I'm hoping this will last me several years...I usually go through bags fairly quickly but normally they're poor quality. This bag is great quality and was exactly what I wanted. Extremely happy with my purchase...slurged on the wallet too

Stands the test of time
I have had this bag for over 2 years and it still looks so good. I have switched over to other purses but always come back and wonder why I ever tried to change it up.

Large, roomy, and stylish
Beautiful purse, high-quality leather. A little too big for my needs, so I exchanged it for the Villager Tribe, which is slightly smaller and loses the larger outer pocket. If you need something slightly larger than the average purse, then this is the one for you!

Fantastic bag! So many pockets and still stays flat against your body. Very comfortable also. Every time I purchase something from Roots I know I won't have to worry about having to return it for any reason as the quality of Roots products are far superior to other companies.

This maybe my last tribal leather purchase!
I have 4 Roots Tribal Leather purses/bags and I have to admit this is my favourite. All of the pockets are deep and have some kind of fastener which is a must have for me. The main opening is wide enough to easily get your wallet in and out of. The strap is very adjustable and there is plenty of it.
I love the look and softness of the tribal leather. I'm also very pleased of the durability of this purse.
