Rated 5 out of 5 by from The usual high quality of a Roots bag I use Roots purses exclusively now. This purse meets all of the high quality standards I have come to expect from a Roots purse. It is soft, flexible, strong, and roomy. I like to wear my purse cross-body, and this one has a lovely, long strap, as I expected it would. The outer pouches are excellent. It is easy to fit an iPhone13 in the pouch with the closure, which means my phone is safe. I'm very happy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from High Quality Purse Excellent quality. I was a bit surprised at the size (for some reason, I had pictured it bigger), but it carries everything I need, with room for more. I would have also preferred a slightly longer strap, but overall, I can't complain. The bag itself is very well made and feels durable. I love the front pocket - it's the perfect size for my cell phone, and makes it easy to grab on the go.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pockets Pockets Pockets! Best crossbody bag I've ever had (leaves my hands free), and best I've seen out there. The leather is impeccable, just keeps getting better through the years (had it for almost 4 yrs now?). Styling is excellent, goes with practically everything. Size is perfect, not too big (hate big bags), but not to small - it fits everything I need, plus some. And the pockets. So many wonderful, tidy little pockets inside and outside the bag so minimal need for digging for loose things, all while keeping a clean design (not bulging, sagging or bloated like some other bags). In summary, I have only 3 words. Best. Bag. Ever. Thank you Roots design team and manufacturers, you do an amazing job!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from High Price, Low Quality The "tribe" leather is definitely not what Roots used to use, it feels flimsy and cheap. Interesting to note that only the front panel of the bag felt like somewhat real leather with a true pebbled texture, the other sides were clearly a lesser imported variety and this seems to be the case for other Roots handbags. I was shocked at how light the Villager bag was compared to tribe bags I've owned in the past, they used to be a lot heavier because they were made with good quality leather. And the prices have only gone up.
