Sun Moon Lake
Located in the geographic centre of Taiwan, Sun Moon Lake is a spectacular retreat often referred to as the ‘Pearl of Taiwan’. Surrounded by mist-veiled mountains and verdant greenery, this picturesque lake is best experienced by bicycle. The Taiwanese are avid cyclists and the lake is surrounded by gently curving bike paths.
Ci en Pagoda
Built by the late President Chiang Kai-shek, in memory of his mother, this 9 storey pagoda sits a-top the picture-perfect Shabalan Mountain. After an invigorating hike through mountain greenery, the top of the pagoda offers visitors a breathtaking 360° view of Sun Moon Lake.
