Sending someone a gift from We have several great gift options available to you.

Include a Gift Receipt + Add a Personal Gift Message

Please note: By selecting gift receipt, any item returned will go to a store credit.

On the bottom of the Shopping Bag page look for the “Include Gift Receipt” checkbox. A gift receipt for your entire order will be sent with your order.

You may personalize your gift by adding a message to the order. At no charge, we will print your message onto a gift card that will be sent to the recipient along with the package.

You may also download/print your gift receipt on the final checkout page.

Digital Gift Cards

Send an eCard right to your recipient's email inbox. Redeemable online and in store.

They are redeemable at any Roots store and on

Roots eCards are digital gift cards that can be sent by email or text message directly to the gift recipient. While physical gift cards are mailed to the recipient, both can be used on and Roots store locations.

Holiday Returns & Exchanges

Easy Exchanges & Returns

You may return items purchased at by simply mailing the unworn item to the address provided on the packaging slip or by visiting a Roots store.

Holiday Return Policy

All Holiday Gift purchases from November 1st to December 6th that fall outside our regular 30 day return policy may be refunded/exchanged with an original receipt onto the original method of payment on or before January 6th. Returns made with a gift receipt may be exchanged or returned for a store credit.

Please Note: Any purchases made after December 6th will follow our regular 30 day return policy with an original or gift receipt.


Please note: Returns will be processed on Boxing Day.

Returns with Gift Receipts

Within 30 days of the date of purchase, receive an exchange or refund for the value paid in the form of a store credit onto a Roots gift card. Cash will not be issued. Please see Return and Exchange rules for more information.
