Shop safely and comfortably with our contactless Curbside Pick Up service, available at select Roots stores. Simply place your order online and we will let you know when it’s ready for pick up.

How it Works

1. Place Your Order

Shop our site to find products that are available at your selected store. At Checkout, select ‘In-Store Pickup’ for your delivery address and enter your postal code or ‘Use My Current Location’ to find the Roots store closest to you for Express Pick Up (Curbside Pick Up) that has your item(s) available.

2. Confirmation Email

Once your order is ready for curbside pick up, we’ll send you an email confirmation. Please bring your email confirmation and proof of identity to pick up your item(s).

3. Pick Up Your Order

When you arrive at the store, call the store and let them know you’re here to pick up an order. Provide your name and order number to the associate for further order pick up instructions. An associate will promptly bring your order out to you and ask for valid ID.

How to Place an Order for Curbside Pick Up (Express Pick Up)
  1. Select a store near you that is available for Curbside Pick Up, indicated in our store locator
  2. Click on the category that you would like to shop.
  3. To filter products by store, click ‘Select a store to view availability’ in the menu on the left-hand side and select your preferred Roots store that is offering Curbside Pick Up.
  4. Shop our site to find products that are available at your selected store.
  5. If the product you're looking for is not available at your selected store, you can select a different location or have it shipped to your home.
  6. Add your item(s) to your shopping bag and continue to checkout.
  7. At Checkout, select ‘In-Store Pickup’ for your delivery address and enter your postal code or ‘Use My Current Location’ to find the Roots store closest to you for Express Pick Up (Curbside Pick Up) that has your item(s) available.
  8. After selecting your preferred Roots store, continue to payment and we’ll send you an email order confirmation.
  9. Once your order is ready for curbside pick up, we'll send you an email notification. Please bring your email and proof of identity to pick up your item(s).

What is Curbside Pickup?

Curbside Pickup is a way for customers to pick up their Express Pickup orders while following physical distancing guidelines and contactless procedures. It allows us to remain connected to our customers while providing the best of our product offering, while maintaining safety measures

Will all stores offer Curbside Pickup?

No, at this time only select stores in certain regions will be offering Curbside Pickup. It is important to be able to maintain critical physical distancing standards, so only those stores located in provinces that permit curbside pickup will be enabled for the program. Please visit our store locator for further information. We will do our best to keep you updated on additional stores offering Curbside Pickup via email and roots.com.

When is Curbside Pickup open?

Generally, our Curbside Pickup location operating hours are Tuesday to Saturday 12:00pm – 7:00pm local time, please visit our store locator for updates.

Are there any additional costs for Curbside Pickup?

When you place an Express pickup order for Curbside Pickup from roots.com, you will pay only the online prices for your items (plus applicable taxes) with no additional fees.

How do I place an Express Order
  1. Select a store near you that is available for Curbside Pick Up, indicated in our store locator
  2. Click on the category that you would like to shop.

When will my order be ready?

Express Orders can be ready in as little as 4 hours during store operating hours. Be mindful that our Curbside Pickup operating hours may vary by store.

How will I know when my order is ready for pickup?

Once your order is available for pickup, you will receive an email indicating “Your Order is Ready for Pickup”. Should you choose to pick up your order using our Curbside Pick Up, please check the Curbside operating hours at your selected pick up store. The email you receive will include instructions on how you may pick up your order at your Curbside store.

Who do I contact if I have an issue with my Curbside Pickup order?

If there is an issue with your pick up order, you may call the pick up store directly. Alternatively you may contact us through email or live chat here.

Can I return or exchange at a Curbside Pickup location?

At this time, we are not permitting any returns or exchanges at Curbside Pickup only locations due to provincial or company guidelines. Please hold on to your unworn, unwashed items until the store fully re-opens or you may visit a fully operational store to return or exchange. We have extended our return policy so that you may return items purchased on or after Feb.15, 2020 up to 45 days once your local store fully re-opens

How will you maintain physical distancing and safety protocols in-store and with customers?

The safety of our staff and customers is our top priority and we are staying in close contact with health authorities to enact enhanced safety protocols, including limited staffing in stores to maintain physical distancing, providing Roots reusable face masks to all of our staff, frequent disinfecting/sanitization of common surfaces in store, and increased hand washing.

To maintain the safety of our customers and community, we are asking customers to remain in their vehicles, keep their windows closed, and open their trunk.

If customers are on foot, they should stand outside the entrance in the designated waiting area of our store upon arrival. Our store associate will retrieve their order and bring it to the door, asking the customer to stand back 2m until the order is placed on the table. The customer can then pick up their order.

We are continually reassessing these measures in consultation with the health authorities.
