INTRODUCING ROOTS SPIRIT
In February 2004, Roots will unveil a new fragrance collection for
women - Roots Spirit. This sparking new scent captures the vital
animating force of youth, spontaneity, optimism and energy.
“In Creating Roots Spirit the desire was to translate the
spirit of Roots into a vibrant new fragrance that embodies the essence
of the Roots athletic lifestyle,” says Roslyn Griner, VP Sales
and Marketing for Coty Canada. “Roots Spirit captures the
playful energy of the young woman who is connected to the pulse
of the urban beat but moves to her own rhythm.”
Developed by Jean-Pierre Mary of the Paris-based perfume house IFF,
Roots Spirit is classified as a crisp, fruity, floral fragrance.
Roots Spirit opens with an engaging blend of lemon, verbena and
green notes. At the heart of the fragrance, orange blossom and jasmine
are combined with ginger, cedarwood, cinnamon and orris. The drydown
of the fragrance reveals musks, amber, sandalwood and a touch of
peach.
Roots Spirit is housed in a tall, cylindrical clear glass flask
that personifies the Roots Spirit wearer - clean, uplifting, and
sleek. The brand colour - vintage Roots red - is energetic and fiery,
personifying the active side of the Roots brand.
