MISSISSAUGA, ON: At a press conference today, Skate
Canada was pleased to announce the signing of a sponsorship partnership
with Roots Canada.
“Skate Canada is very excited to welcome Roots
Canada as our newest national sponsor,” said Pam Coburn, Skate
Canada CEO. “We hope to see the partnership continue to expand
well into the future.”
The agreement, which is effective immediately and
runs until 2006, names Roots Canada as the official clothing supplier
to Canada’s National Figure Skating Teams. In consultation
from Skate Canada’s National Teams department, Roots Canada
has designed the official clothing outfits for the 2003-2004 National
Team, Junior National Team and the National Synchronized Skating
Team. The Junior National Team’s outfit consists of
Roots Canada joins Skate Canada’s national sponsor family,
which includes principle partners CTV/TSN, title sponsors BMO Financial
Group and MasterCard Canada, as well as Air Canada, Communications
Canada, Canadian Heritage, Centrum Vitamins, Cover Girl (Procter
& Gamble Canada Inc.), Goody Products Inc., Hershey Canada and
Movado Watches.
