Roots makes its Olympic debut. At the request of the Canadian Olympic Committee, Roots outfits Team Canada with winter footwear (the negative heel quilted “Puffboot”) for the athletes to wear during the Opening Ceremonies Parade at the Winter Games. The boots were designed and made by the Kowalewski family at the Roots leather goods factory in Toronto. |
