LOS ANGELES – Following his formidable performance at the just-concluded Winter Olympics in Torino, US speed skating sensation Apolo Ohno is the toast of the country. Ohno, who won three medals including a Gold Medal last weekend, is in great demand, the focus of great media interest. The latest was this morning when he appeared on "The Ellen Show" and last night on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno".
While in Los Angeles, Ohno will make a special appearance at the Roots store in Beverly Hills tomorrow (Sat., March 4, 2006). Ohno will be signing autographs at the store in the afternoon, and meeting his many devoted fans and members of the media.
His one Gold and two Bronze medals in Torino follow his Gold and Bronze medals at the 2002 Games in Salt Lake City. In addition, Ohno has won five World Cups, and the over all World Cup title in 2005. Off the ice, this colorful, highly gifted athlete is an author and was voted one of People magazine's "50 Most Beautiful People."
