Roots is committed to social and corporate responsibility. This
commitment to the communities where we do business is based on the
principles that the company was founded on in 1973: Quality
and Integrity.
Roots is an international company doing business around the world
and is proud of its record in the workplace and in the community.
Roots owns and operates its own leather goods factory in Toronto
and sources goods from Canada and around the world. Roots suppliers,

ROOTS CODE OF CONDUCT.
The ROOTS CODE OF CONDUCT sets minimum
standards that Roots will accept in regards to compliance with industry
standards and environmental regulatory requirements.
Roots has partnered with
Cal Safety Compliance Corporation (CSCC), an independent
internationally recognized organization dedicated to monitoring
labor and safety conditions worldwide. Working with CSCC Roots is
determined to have its products manufactured in factories that are
the most aligned with the ROOTS CODE OF CONDUCT and
company principles.
Roots has taken a leading
role in the environmental and social issues within Canada, with
a global scope, supporting numerous environmental issues and children’s
charities.
Roots is a sponsor of
Waterkeepers Alliance (www.waterkeeper.org),
an organization headed by Robert Kennedy Jr. dedicated to preserving
waterways in North America and around the world. Roots is also a

an organization who works directly with Canadian companies to develop
a practical and economic way to shift their wood and paper use away
from ancient and endangered forest products to ecologically sound
alternatives. With Markets Initiative, Roots is supporting the vision
of transforming paper production and consumption toward environmental
and social sustainability. Roots Annual Golf Tournament has raised
hundreds of thousands of dollars for a variety of charities.
Roots is a proud outfitter
of the Canadian, United States, Great Britain and the Barbados Olympic
Teams. Companies that adhere to the Roots Code of Conduct manufacture
all Roots Olympic wear. All Canadian Olympic team clothing is made

items that athletes representing their country, and the public at
large can be proud to wear.
