We continue our adventures in Banff & Lake Louise hiking higher in search of that perfect view. Canada's first national park and the world's third spans 6,641 square kilometres (2,564 square miles) of valleys, mountains, glaciers, forests, meadows and rivers, trust us, the climb to the top was worth the view!
Sunshine Village, in the heart of Banff National Park, is made up of three sprawling mountains providing breathtaking site-lines uninterrupted by signs of civilization.
Vermillion Lakes offers wildlife viewing opportunities and stunning views of Mount Rundle (just one of Banff’s most iconic mountains!). The lake is located just minutes from downtown Banff and offers docks and benches to soak up nature’s surrounding beauty.
After our trail ride through thick forests and sun-drenched meadows we returned to Warner Stables where more than 300 backcountry horses call home. Horse corrals and barns provided the backdrop for this once-in-a-lifetime experience.
