Actor Russell Crowe designs his own Roots

Many TV and film celebrities have long enjoyed wearing Roots products. Taking this a step further, Roots recently began working with Academy Award-winning actor Russell Crowe to produce personalized apparel designed by the New Zealand-born star.
As part of this project, David Jackson, Product Coordinator in the Business-to-Business Department, is involved in the sampling and production of two full zip hoody styles created by Crowe. More than 200 pieces of the two styles, to be made in Toronto, will be ready for delivery at the end of July.
Crowe is a big fan of Roots. When in Toronto, he often shops for himself and his family in Roots stores. In the past, Roots also supplied products for his movie Cinderella Man.
